I LOVE this Corbett… are you going to make it into a jpg or something that can be easily shared on social networking sites? I’d love to share it! :)

    Great Manifesto Corbett! Indeed inspiring!

May I ask how you designed it? E.g., did you use powerpoint, or some other program?

    • Corbett Barr November 11, 2011 at 9:51 am #

I designed it in PhotoShop, just using one font at different sizes, spacing and weights.

      • kasper November 15, 2011 at 3:18 am #

and a ‘bit’ of inspiration from the Holstee manifesto…

        It’s good though.

Yeah, Holstee’s manifesto is great. It was definitely the inspiration for this.

      • Michael Klusek January 5, 2012 at 8:59 pm #

SImple is best. Steve Jobs would approve.

  3. Conni November 10, 2011 at 9:24 am #

      My thoughts exactly!

      • Corbett Barr November 11, 2011 at 9:53 am #

Hehe, hadn’t thought about that. If enough people ask, we’ll definitely look into it.

        • Nick Tort November 16, 2011 at 10:52 pm #

I think t-shirts are in order for this awesome design-wrapped manifesto. If you get enough people interested, give me a shot! I am building my design and printing business into a location independent business!

  5. Sean Davis November 10, 2011 at 2:51 pm #

Outstanding! You really have a creative mind. I’m digging this. Consider it shared.

  6. Jenna November 10, 2011 at 7:30 pm #

This is amazing! It’s a great reminder about living the life you want, instead of the one you’re told to live by others. Thanks for sharing it.

  10. Taylor November 11, 2011 at 6:26 am #

I like it. It articulates what I’ve been trying to do the past few months, but hadn’t quite synthesized yet.

Love the manifesto! I feel the itch to explore and try out new things!

  14. Loïc November 17, 2011 at 12:09 pm #

Hey it’s really great! sounds like it appeals to tons of people :-) don’t you want to release it under creative common license and share a vector version of it ?

I believe sharing and being open is the best way to reach the goals that you promote wonderfully here :-D

I would love to print a large version of this one in my office and think it would be a waste to have to copy it and not share your credentials on it :-) What do you think ?

Thanks a lot for your great work! hope you will want to make it available with a cc license :-D

  15. Dave November 17, 2011 at 12:43 pm #

I’d love a printable version of this. Please? :)

  16. Corbett Barr November 17, 2011 at 3:12 pm #

Hey everybody, I just wanted to let you know that we updated the manifesto to be licensed under Creative Commons.

Feel free to share it wherever you like! We just appreciate a link back here if you don’t mind.

    Cheers!

    • Loïc November 18, 2011 at 2:57 am #

      :-) Thanks!! great initiative!

  17. Jeff Goins November 18, 2011 at 2:26 pm #

    This is excellent.

  18. Shauntelle March 15, 2012 at 6:38 am #

I LOVE this because it’s the motto I live by every day! I recently had someone call me a “dabbler” and even though I think he meant it as a negative term, something in me heard it and perked up. It was like I’d come home and I decided it was time to own and respect my talent for “dabbling”… I’m a very proud “Jill-of-all-trades” and I find my wide breadth of knowledge comes in handy whenever anyone I know wants to launch into something new. :)

    Hi Corbett,

this manifesto is great. It taught me one very important thing. Manifestos doesn’t have to be multipage document.
