Happy to have found this site, also via Zen Habits tweet, exciting to see someone finally speaking to us non-experts who have a passion for learning, exploring and doing things good enough, because there are too many cool things out there to pick just one.

One thing I noticed is your use of Renaissance Man and jack-of-all-trades – there are women who geek exploring and learning skills and knowledge too, please don’t tune out and turn off people who could be your biggest fans and supporters through non-inclusive language.

Finally! This is what I’ve been looking for. When you say Renaissance Man, I say polymath. Same thing though.
I taught myself guitar (camp fire good or expert enough) and a third language; Portuguese. I call learning things “skill sets.” Swimming, drawing, a new language, programming, throwing a knife!, whatever, these are all skill sets. I like the shortcut question. Everyone wants 6-minutes abs but unfortunately, that’s not the case. There are better ways to do things, and my hope is that this site provides that.
When Tim Ferriss wrote 4HWW, he made a pilot for a show called, Trial By Fire. There was only one show but the premise was similar. How to get good at something and fast. So while this site will be providing tips on how to better oneself at certain skill sets, I also hope that you do not forget to tie it all together with the underlying themes: perseverance, studiousness, comfort zone breaking, etc.
My wish, would be for a site, program, whatever, to give folks a template to create their own “hacks” to be the best selves they can.
This site can be the beginning of just that. Excited is an understatement.

@Corbett Barr First impressions are that I like how it already includes the “follow up” for commenting, for instance I recieved an email to notify me that you responded.

Obviously done with “Subscribe To Comments”, but doesn’t have the tagging feature.

I’m not sure about the social integration, when it asks me to share down there, what am I sharing, the post or my comment?

What specifically did you talk about at BlogWorld that sold you on the platform over something like Disqus or IntenseDebate (or even good ol’ fashioned WP comments)?
