Show up. Work hard. Learn. Improve.
Show up. Work hard. Learn. Improve.
Show up. Work hard. Learn. Improve…
That’s the exact equation that will enable you to accomplish absolutely anything you want in life.
The equation is so incredibly simple.
But so few will ever put the power of that simplicity to work.
We look for shortcuts and excuses. We over-complicate things. We come up with 99 reasons why other people can but we can’t. Or worse, we’re filled to the brim with confidence but laughably lacking in substance.
Whatever the case, there is no substitute for showing up, working hard, learning and improving.
Do that every day, and one day you will become exactly what you set out to.
Keep ignoring it and progress will always be just out of your reach.
Choose wisely.

The truth is, most people are overwhelmed by the incoming confusion because what they are and what they want to be. So, when you break this equation in any situation, you’re gone for good.
The trick should be automation, though.
I totally agree with this, and would add “try new things” to the equation.
Hi,
that summarise everything there is to know about being/becoming expert enough! Love it!
I’ve now been practicing translation (English to Italian) for a while and I am getting more confident. I’m Italian mother tongue, I’ve been living in English speaking countries for nearly 10 years and studied English for a few years previous to that.
I want to be a freelance translator and be able to travel full-time. I pledge to show up. Work hard. Learn. Improve.
And if you need any article, email or something non-technical translated, I will be happy to help (free of charge).
Keep up the good work.
I would call these the fundamentals for the lower level of expert enough. At the higher level, there is still the largely unanswered question of determining what you want to become an expert at. Even if you want to work toward mastery of everything that you do, there is still the opportunity cost of using time and resources to learn/do one thing versus another.
